And the winner is...

It is a miracle! We have finally named our little one! We have thought about it to the point of overthinking it. I finally just left it up to Neal because I got tired of thinking about it. I originally really wanted Sofia, but changed my mind. Then we wanted Savannah. From Savannah, it went to thinking about Mackenzie (Kenzie), to Emery. One thing that has always stayed the same is the middle name Nicole. We just really like Nicole! It went with every name that we picked. It especially goes with Emery which is now baby Staab's name! It was originally a boy's name, but it works for a girl as well! I am just so happy that we have decided on something! I hope she likes her name, and I hope that she looks like an Emery. I don't know what an Emery would look like, but I just hope it fits her! Whoohoo! Now I can start putting her name on everything!

6 weeks left!

34 weeks today! Why is time going so fast???? I am not even close to being ready. We are only 6 weeks away from seeing this little being that has been kicking me to death for the last month. Her kicks have gotten so hard. I am wondering exactly how big she is. I have gained 4 pounds since my last appointment and am almost at the 30 pound weight gain mark. It will probably be a ton more since my appetite has picked up! I have eaten out everyday this week. That would be okay if I wasn't eating french fries, ice cream, and pizza! Oh well, my days of doing that have almost passed! I have been very fortunate thus far. I feel pretty good! I have noticed that I am way more sleepy than I have been in the past few weeks. Also, my feet hurt a lot and get fat from time to time. Other than those things, I am pretty normal. I am so hoping that it stays this way! I won't hold my breath.

Nursery time!

Packing up the room

So most people that know me well, know that I am a procrastinator. I have always been and sadly always will be that way. I seem to work better under a time crunch. So it is no surprise that with a month left I have nothing ready. So Natalie took me to Lone Star Baby, which is where I ended up getting our crib. Finally! Now, all we have to do is clear out our guest room, and closet. I said that I would start this during Spring Break. Well we are a few days into Spring break and I have cleared out the closet!! Now if we can just get the furniture out of there. I feel like we have at least started things. I washed all of her clothes, and that took two days to do! It is sad what the dryer does to new clothes. Everything really fades right away. I refuse to dry from now on. It is pretty exciting to start washing the clothes and hanging it up. That means a baby is really close to using them. Crazy! Today Neal and I will try to do just a little more. I had such high hopes for this week, and have only done half of what I wanted to do. Hopefully she doesn't surprise us with an early arrival! We would be in so much trouble!

Our 8th anniversary...

Well we have now been married 8 years!! This was our last anniversary without a baby! Things will be so different from here on. I am really happy that we got to have so much time to ourselves before starting a family. I have really enjoyed just hanging out and basically doing whatever we have wanted to do. We have had a lot of quality time together! We are so ready to start our little family now. We really can't wait! It has been a fun eight years with some speed bumps along the way, but we have loved every minute of it. I can't wait to see what this next year brings! We decided to just keep it low key for our anniversary night, and just went to Anamia's. Sadly I wasn't the least bit hungry. I couldn't even eat my dessert! That is pretty serious. We thought it would be nice to name the baby on our anniversary, but we couldn't do it. We are being so weird about the name! Well we tried...

30 week appointment

So we have entered the 30's! It is pretty crazy. Women have their babies in their 30's alot of times so it just kind of made me realize I could have mine soon! We had a doctor's appointment that day and we had our very last ultrasound. It will be the last time we see our little girl in my belly. She looked great! The doctor said that the baby weighed around 3.5 lbs., and that the baby would most likely weigh 8.5 lbs! What??? I thought that I would have a small baby for some reason. She also said that the baby had big feet! Could our baby possibly be tall later? We got to see her practice breathing. We could see her chest going up and down. It is so amazing what they learn to do inside of the belly. Everything else looked great! I have officially gained 24 pounds and have 10 weeks to go! Yikes! I am slowly making my way up the scale! Must be those fries and root beer floats that I have been snacking on!
